Hello,

I am trying to change the TV mainboard (model F8500).
I know that the mainboard I purchased comes from a different screen size (64" instead of 60"), different region and local set .
When I plug in the new board I get just a black screen.

Should I try a hardware reset on blue connection as describedon below link? https://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php/UnBric ... set#EEPROM

Other solutions that I can try? maybe via RS232 link but I am not sure that it was left in debug mode.
The EEPROM reset will set the connection to debug mode? If yes, how can I use the RS232 to enter service menu in order to change the panel settings?

today i rerooted my tv with a new stick from scratch.
ssh works, tv seems to run stable.
but amazon is still not working with root. starting the tv without usb-stick with root it works fine.

may i solve that somehow?

What has happened to the 'Cast to device' on my new Q80R?
It appears as a device but now just reverts to a screen share resulting in a very jerky stream when the video (test Samsung 4K Iceland)
I was expecting the usual 'Cast to device' window opening on my laptop and the film appearing on the TV. Don't tell me that they have dropped a native DLNA player on the TV now?!? Also same for MP3s.
It was flawless (wireless connection depending) on my UE46ES6800.

I have a question guys, when i play video from vit USB (SMB), and switch the tv off, upon playing the same video it doesn't start from where i left last time, instead it starts from beginning. Is this how it suppose to work or i done something wrong?

So I have a samsung 40inches UAEH5000 model and was looking to upgrade the firmware for it.
However, in my hurry to do so, I have installed the firmware for UNEH5000.

The TV installed the update and all and seems to be running fine but with a few issues with HDMI connections.
the 2 HDMI's are swapped now, so HDMI1 is 2 and vice-versa, plus also I need to always connect 2 devices with active HDMI connections, otherwise it just shows no signal.

Any suggestions/help on this will be greatly appreciated...
did you found the solution i did same. my now it showing error mesg main board is change go into service menu etcetc. its now settings cable channels. :(

i flashed wrong region firmware on, i flashed EN32Eh5000 on UA40Eh5000, now my tv is not setting cable channels and screen resolution is also out, and dark. when i turn on tv mesg display main baord changed. how can i flash back UA frimware again i tried so many things but no luck tv is have no audio and colorless screen but all things are playing in usb media movies etc etc with sound. i can i reflash UA40Eh5000 firmware again?

Hi everyone!

I have a Samsung UN40C5000QM. Yesterday entered Service Menu and walked through it but I guess I missed some configuration (DTV from Peru to Argentina) and now when plugged to the wall and turn on standby LED blinks 6 times and goes off, after some seconds it blinks 6 times again a goes off and repeats infinitely.

Tried doing EEPROM reset with pins 5 & 6 and with 4 & 5. Pins 5 & 6 seems to do nothing, but pins 4 & 5 make standby LED go off after I try to turn the TV on with RC and a few seconds after it starts to blink 3 times rapidly and off, and again 3 times and off an so on.

I don't know what to do. A few weeks ago I made it repair the source board (changed ICB801, a capacitor and a fuse) and worked liked new again, but I made a mistake with Service Menu evidently. Hope you guys can help me!

Hello, I am attempting to repair my broken Samsung TV: model no. UN32H6350AF. When I plug in the power, it constantly does a boot loop with the only message it says is to go into service mode and modify the Type, Local Set, Front Color Option. I followed this previous question, viewtopic.php?t=10597, and was able to enter the service menu using the mute+1+8+2+power method; however, once I enter the service menu I can't go up or down or press ok using my remote to change any of the settings that I need to change. This may be due to the fact that I am using a universal remote (https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Remote ... 159&sr=1-3) instead of the remote for this TV; however, I know this remote works at least a little bit since it allows me to do the mute+1+8+2+power method.

Does anybody have any suggestions? I am able to generate custom IR codes, so if anybody has hex IR codes for the Up, Down, and OK buttons that you think I should try I would be able to do that. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Hello, can anybody tell me what version of Netflix app comes with 2900 firmware?
I have 32H5500 with 2781 firmware and Netflix is 4.04442 (updated January 2016) and it doesn't support Romanian language and subtitles settings for my Netflix account. I wonder if a firmware update will solve this!

Hello, any chance to root the lastest firmware 1242? Samsung destroy my tv (KS9500) with this update, the good blacks now are grayish and blooming image, the transition of this new local dimming is slow at glance.

Any hope to root this firmware?
l was happy in the firmware 1241, all perfect, but my tv automatically update and l didnt know.
Now the good blacks now are grayish and blooming image, the transition of this new local dimming is slow at glance.
l just wanna broke the tv, l really really mad.

In the mean time I found the EEPROM - hidden under a heat sink: S24C51

I have the tools to read it and I would like to check the info for local set, type and region.

Could anybody help me with the EEPROM content from PS51F8500 or PS64F8500 or PN51F8500 or PN60F8500?

I confirm - I was able to DOWNGRADE my UE65HU8200, T-GFP8DEUC from 2410.0 to 0000.

There are 4 root methods:
Skype (ended since there is no Skype)
SkypeReplacement (FW <1290)
SkypeRefueled
Network root (FW <1290)

Which one is the best? newest?

In the first post it is said that the last possible firmware version for Network root is 1290. Where can I find so old firmware? (the earliest in libFWdowngrade thread is: 2130.6).
