Looking at the forum I see that Skype was supported by J series (developers from here were asking, when rooting, about TV with Skype installed)
Does anyone here have Skype working on J series ? If so what FW version you have ? (I'm particularly interested with UE40J6300AWXXH which I have).
According to https://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php?title= ... gram_in_TV Skype is provided with firmwere.
What firmware versions have Skype support ?

Since few months I'm experiencing some TV switch on in the night between 00:00 and 01:00.
Every now and then I can here a relay switching in the TV even if it remains with a black screen.

I assume that Samsung servers are doing something in background to my TV but this situation is quite annoying.

Did anybody experience the same ?

I have TV SW update blocked in the service menu even if the latest FW is installed with USB root method.

I think I sniffed the http stream headers. Btw, using the vewd hbbtv emulator I can at least use services with require newer versions on my virtual machine.

Hello guys,
I'm new to this forum, I don't really know how to get around,
I was trying to enable DTV using the IR android app, but I mistakenly
changed the service menu values for front color and type and also the tuner, is there anyone can help me with this?
Also is it possible that this model doesn't support DTV at all.

Hello everybody,
I apologize in advance if this question is very stupid or very off-topic as I am very new to all of this but you seem to be the experts so it looks like the right place to ask.
I have an active antenna that requires 5 volts DC on the coaxial cable to work. I know power inserters are a thing but apparently no one else knows about them around here and they are rare anywhere else anyways. My question is, Is there a way or an option to divert power (ideally 5 volts) to the RF output of the TV? Maybe an option hidden in the service menu?
I have a digital tuner box that does that so I wonder if the TV can too.
My TV model is: PA43H400ARXEG.

General • Sideloading apps through USB on Tizen

On my old pre-Tizen Samsung TVs I was able to simply side load apps from other regions but copying them on to a USB flash drive and hook it up to the TV. I is my understanding, that this is no longer possible on newer Tizen TVs.

However, I've just seen that the folks over at Plex provide beta version of their app to download and side load on Tizen TVs:

You basically download the app, unzip the file and put the app in a folder called userwidget on a USB stick. You just plug the USB stick into the TV and you can run the app from the USB stick.

How is this possible? Wouldn't it be possible to do this with other apps as well?!

Hello everybody,

I need to watch channels TV on smartphone samsung
I have a UA40J5500 1217 version.
I have installed samsung smart view app on my phone but when i try to connect, the tv show me the PIN code
i write it in my phone but it always show me that the PIN is wrong. :(
Is that app allow me to watch program playing on tv on my smartphone too at the same time?

is there a solution for my need?

Hey there. If you're still around could you please tell me which version you installed? Was it version 1.1.1? I would also recommend this app, it's very similar to Samsung Smart View but has some differences in interface, but that shouldn't be a problem.

i have a question my main board was changed last week cause on the first visit the tech came and said it was the panel needing changing since my screen kept jumping every 3 to 4 seconds and during that it would show bottom horizontal black bars so he came on his 2nd visit with a new panel but my tv wasn't doing that symptom anymore so he called it in and they told him to change my board instead but guess what like 6 hours into using it it happened again but worse so it wasn't my main board and they said I can't get my original back then after being unplugged and a few taps on the lower back it came back so it's currently working and they come this coming Monday. my main concern is I never got to see my exact main board original one to take a pic of my exact board numbers I ended up getting the BN94-12660T board and he nor I could find the sw model their all like QMQ7F or QMQ7FR etc etc but after doing a reset on my one connect box it shows my tv on my network as a F series now instead of a Q series so I know something is very off or that board isn't updated to the lastest somehow but my one connect that they sent me first to see if my problems went away is brand new and when I tried it with my original board still in it detected everything like my old one connect box did after a reset and a update but with this new board after a reset on one connect it is now a F series. if anyone can help me what settings are the ones in SW model and for the Type if possible I know it had EDID so I don't know if that tells it which panel. does anyone have pictures of their QN55Q7FAMFXZA Ver AA01 manufactured Jan 2018 last builds service menu pictures so I can try and find my model please based on your settings. thank you im frustrated at this point wish I could get my board back since that wasn't the problem and I did notice some slight changes and im thinking that's probably why. I figured somebody here could be kind enough to help me out I would really apricate it. thank you.

is it a QN55Q7FAMFXZA ver aa01 model? I need help if you could send me the pictures of your settings like TYPE, SW Model etc etc they replaced my board and it wasn't the problem now with a new board my TV thinks its a F series instead of a Q series if your model is like mine and you can see the settings I would be greatful. thanks

I know this isn't a answer to your question but if that a Q55FQ7FAMFXZA? u might be able to help me out. cause my board was replaced by their tech and SW model couldn't find any QN everything was QMQ7 etc etc and Type and BOM info plus anything else I could compare with mine any pics would help. could ya let me know? Thanks.

hi friends
from service menu i changed tuner and region settings and after restart it can only play usb flash disk and smart view on mobile
no menu or service menu or even control volume
main board BN94-09068D
screen CY-G040FLLV1V
I connected sda to ground and plug ac for 20 sec and unplug ac then connect ac but nothing changed
connected scl to ground and same results
sda to scl
and sda to vcc
scl to vcc
need to reset eeprom please

Sorry, but all the White Raven's online servers died. (R.I.P 14 servers with almost 1 year uptime.)
White Raven version 0.3 is comming soon, but only for Samsung Smart TV F rooted. Torrent server will run on TV locally.

customer care here told me main board cost is 220$
