Hi all,

i want to root my tv for the first time, i followed instructions in the first post. Skype_emp.zip Skype_engine.zip Skype_widget.zip were missing, i copied them from another post but still some things are missing and i couldn't find them.

Can anyone help?

Hide too much visible or adjust delay of too lengthily shown stuff on TV (e.g. info banners... Check options below for details).

Usage:
  • Extract attached archive
  • Copy 55_STFU.init to SYSROOT/etc/init.d
  • Copy libSTFU.so to SYSROOT/usr/so
Edit ARGS line at top of 55_STFU.init script according to the following:
  • -b[ms] - Channel info banner duration. Shown on INFO or ENTER keypress on TV source.
    → TV default is 10000ms, lib default if no value specified is 6000ms
  • -s[ms] - Source banner duration. Shown on INFO or ENTER keypress on external source.
    → TV default is 5000ms, lib default if no value specified is 2500ms
  • -i[ms] - Channel number input delay. When switching to a channel by typing number, delay between last digit and effective zapping.
    → TV default is 3000ms, lib default if no value specified is 1500ms
  • -l[ms] - Info banner details long press duration. When info banner is shown on TV source, how long you have to hold ENTER to show details.
    → TV default is 700ms, lib default if no value specified is 300ms
  • -h - Disable annoying 'HDR blah' notification everytime you start playing HDR content or switch to HDR source.
  • -n - Disable 'Not available' popup shown when unallowed in context RC key is pressed.
  • -r - Disable rating lock. Whatever rating setup is, some 18+ channels still forcibly ask pincode. Disable completely.
Then reboot TV or start script manually:

Notes:
  • Lib can't be uninjected. To restore defaults, either kill tv-viewer process (it will restart) or disable script and reboot TV.
  • Untested on T-HKMFK as usual.

Hi everyone! I am new to this forum, so please forgive me if my post is not inline with the forum rules!

I have the following Samsung TV -
Model Code : UA32F5500ARMXL
Version No : TP02
Firmware version : 2139.1

I want to root the TV and use all the available features of the TV. I saw the rooting threads, and got a bit confused with the multiple outdated threads. From what I understood is that I need to do the following things -
1) Install the 0000 Firmware.
2) Then install the required firmware (But which firmware is recommended by Samygo? What is the difference between TV Software and Firmware?)
3) Root the TV (Which is the latest and best rooting method recommended by Samygo?)
4) Disable updates.

Are these the only steps that need to be followed? Can someone guide me with the first 3 steps? Maybe a video (if possible). I managed to disable OTA/OTN updated from the Engineering Menu.

Thank you in advance, and once again I am sorry if I have broken any forum rules. It's not that I am trying to get spoon-fed, I did try to read the relevant threads. It's just that there are multiple active threads, and so I got confused. I don't want to hard-brick my TV. I have soft-bricked a couple of android phones in the past, but it was possible to unbrick them. I am not sure whether that will be the case with a TV, so just being cautious. :)

Came across this app only now...
The 1440p-based layout is a BIG MINUS... most people DO NOT have 1440p monitors! 1080 is the common resolution.
The GUI goes off screen and it's impossible to resize :(

Just used the app, which works well to get the extended options. But when in the MTR Options, HV Flip, I can chose "H Flip", "HV Flip" or "Off", but there is no "V Flip", which is the option that I would like to use... Anyone has ever experienced this and knows how to fix that?

Hi everybody,

recently I have tried to activate bluetooth audio without success.
Now, AV an all HDMI inputs except HDMI1(STB) seems a green tone, especially in dark colors.

Please, Can anyone give me the default settings of white balance (adc/wb) and colors?

I asked for your help a month ago and still no answer.

I thought the point of this forum was to help people. The only thing I have gotten from you since I joined and explaind my problem was...

"Get root and toogle firmware".

Ok. I followed your advice and I hacked my TV but now I don't know how to continue.

All I'm asking you is to help me find the right FTDI cable for my TV so I can use Telnet which I think it's next step. Right??

Frankly I think I'm not asking too much. I hope you can help me. I beg of you. I feel so trapped, don't know what to do.

Hi,

I have a Samsung UE55ES7005 which I have connected via a power strip, a master/slave version where I have the Samsung TV plugged in as a master. This automatically starts the receiver and other acessories when it detects power draw. I have it setup so that it will have to draw much power to react.
Problem is that sometimes I notice that the receiver will start up (because the TV starts drawing more power), this lasts for maybe 30 seconds, and the TV isn't visibly on, screen is off.
At first I thought it was some kind of network check, so I disabled Wifi and unplugged ethernet. Still happens from time to time.

Is there any setting in the TV I can disable? Is there anything in the service menu which can affect this when the TV is in standby?

Hello, first of all greetings to everyone and a nice day. Now with your help I hope to solve the problem. :?: I have a samsung samsung UE49K6300 series and I do not quite know which category it belongs to, regarding the problem .... samsung Italia (are from Italy) has managed to remove the iptv app from the smart hub by upgrade. I can no longer use any application like iptv. I do not find downgrading firmware and it's very frustrating. If you can help me ..... Thank you

Hello,

Could you help me and tell me what type is UE55ES6100 in the hidden factory menu. Because i must of change something and the image on the tv is upside down now.

I was trying to change the local set because i only have 3 options in the menu when selecting the country and i need more.. and i changed the type by mistake.

Good evening,

My UE46ES8000 is not working properly as I have 3 vertical pink lines on the left side on the tv just at 2cm from the border.

I want to the service menu in order to change settings.
I changed a lot of them but I would like now to reverse. The problem is I didn't take pictures of all the menu structure.

I found this link but it is for the ES6500 not for the ES8000 and particularly the UE46ES8000.

Hi, guys

Hope you're all well

Now, down to the issue. I bought a UHD tv while I was in China (Model Number UA55MU6990JXXZ). Everything was good initially. Then I moved back home and realized that apps like Netflix weren't showing up. This had happened with other TV's and all I had to do was change the region. So I did the old fast forward, 289, rewind to get the list of regions, but my TV only shows China as a region, and no way I'm even gonna get Youtube there.

I've tried everything to get it to work. I even set it it to China once by mistake, but then I did that INFO MENU MUTE POWER combo to factory reset it. But even after that it still only shows China in the list of regions.

So if anyone has any idea of how to show more regions it'd be really appreciated.

Ill have to admit, i screwed up. Yesterday i was trying to pair my bluetooth headset with my samsung ua48h6400 and i read online that i had to turn on the aditional blutooth settings in service menu to do so.So, i went into the service menu and turned the settings on but then i started exploring the service mwnu and i accidently hit the av calibration button and the screen went dark instantly.It showed failure infront of the av calibration button and now i cant figure out how to fix it. I tried the cube picture calibration but all in vain. I read online that manually putting in the values can restore the settings so i want the default service menu setings, the white balance, the adc result e.t.c and anything else that might help restoring the colors of the screen back and yeah, the colors are perfect on hdmi the problem is only in av.Please help.

Dear all, nice to meet you.

I was looking around the web and hopefully I came up to this Forum.

I would like to completely disable the WiFi and the bluetooth function on my Samsung TV UE55J6300. The reason is that I have it already connected it to the Internet with a LAN cable and also I dont like the extra radiation, especially for my little kids in the house.

Because I dont want to mess around with the Advanced menu and brick something, is there anyone else that has disable these function through this menu?

Could you be so kind and provide me the exact step-by-step guide?
