Ah that's good to know. Thank you very much!I expected it to upgrade the TV's firmware. It's indeed Dutch, I assumed that these screens would look similar otherwise in other languages.

I'm not sure whether my uncle would use any special features, but it's good to know the tv can support them!

On http://wiki.samygo.tv/index.php5/How_To_Disable_Firmware_Updates, people are advised to turn off routes to msecnd.net.

This hostname does not point to a proper hostname, though the domain is registered (to M*soft, Inc.) and dig only finds an A entry.

Question is, does the domain mentioned contain a typo or the like or does blocking the other three hostnames (which have single matching ip addresses each) suffice?

Nobody gives a SHIT about "auto-update" in "normal menu". Even Samsung ignores it :P Disable OTN Support and/or block updates on router!!!

Hi, I am haveing the same problem in my Samsung 3D TV. Model # UA40ES6220R. I had wifi issue in my tv and i did the factory reset and it did not work. so I went to service menu and change the TV type to diff model and my screen got solarized. I again change back to previous model type but sill display is solarized.

But in 3D mode it is working fine.

Hello everybody,

I have messed up with the "HDMI Calibrate" option and now the colors of my tv (UE48J6300) are all wrong, so I would appreciate some help :( ... What I need is the full service menu settings (like adc result,white balance, option_hdmi,mrt option,engineer option,sub option,debug). If anyone can reply me with some pictures of the default values I could restore them :/

I tested tghe tvisted remote, but it can only control the volume on my tv. For everything else (channel change/power off) it tries to connect to port 55000. So, not a viable option sadly.

Nice App, works great.
But I have a big problem with time controlled recording.
When I set the on timer in the time menu of my TV (LE37B650) the TV turns on, PVR+ starts (SamyGo.sh) and PVR+ starts recording.
I noticed that it often does not work. On the hard drive there is only a 0 KB file.
Now I noticed the following behaviour: after I turn off my TV (it does not matter if I set the on timer or not) the TV turns on automatically after ca. 40 minutes. This happens every time when I normally turn off my TV. The strange thing is that only the OS starts. The TV not really turns on (standby LED is still on and no picture is seen). But I can ping the TV, connect via FTP or telnet. After ca. 3-4 minutes the TV shutdown again.
The problem: when the TV starts after 40 minutes when I turn of the TV, PVR+ also starts and tries to record. But the TV is not really on so the record fails. Later, when TV regularly turns on by the on timer, nothing happens because the auto start recording when PVR+ starts is off.

What is that behaviour and how can I prevent this?

The Version 1.8.2.53 cannot connect anymore to my BD-F8500 and shows the error message "invalid name" - but when i start the version 1.7.3.31 it works with same ip and same telnet port "5023"..

Hi, i have a 55uh7500 and a Yamaha vrx 475, and y hace a lot of problem of shuthin.
Every 3or 4 min sound stops for 0,5 s and retunrs.
I tried with hdmi Arc and optical sound, and with both have dame problem.

I try the tv withouth receiver and sounds ok. The receiver with other sources sounds ok too.

Something in service menu??? That i can try??
