[E] Support • UE46ES6100 NetFlix or Smart Hub Issue?

I have the UE46ES6100 and i'm having an issue with NetFlix app because it doesn't recognize the Greek subs as an option. It only recognize English and Turkey subs on my tv. I have a local NetFlix provider in Greece and on a 2017 model samsung TV with the new smart hub interface (so new Netflix app as well) i can choose Greek subs normally.

What can I do to solve this issue with the older model of samsung?

Can i force install the new unify netflix app on UE46ES6100? Or can i update the samsung smart hub with the new 2016 and after interface (so i'll have automatically the new netflix app installed)

Can anyone help me please on that.

SamyGo Remote app was working fine with my Note 8 running Android Nougat. As today I updated to Android Oreo whenever I am opening the app it is only loading a blank screen on its startup and crashes after few seconds. How do I fix it guys?

That lib, as its name doesn't tell, unlocks and revives a bunch of elementary features, for most removed by Samsung for no understandable reason.
  • Unlocks "Fit to Screen" picture size mode in all resolutions
  • Game Mode enablable on all sources
  • Can skip pincode requests if wanted
  • "Picture Off" option

  • Sleep Timer and Energy Saving direct shortcuts

  • Tools Menu revived and fully customizable

Usage:
  • Extract attached archive
  • Copy 85_ToolsMenu.init to SYSROOT/etc/init.d
  • Copy libToolsMenu.so to SYSROOT/usr/so
  • Reboot TV or start script manually:

    $SYSROOT/etc/init.d/85_ToolsMenu.init start
Notes:
  • Some variables can be adjusted at the beginning of script:

    • Possible tools menu entries can be found in /usr/apps/org.tizen.menu/res/json/dvb/helper.json, but far from all can work so it's unworth to try everything (I didn't, so I can't give a definitive list, there are too many!). Better ask if you need any specific one, and I'll tell you its name and/or if possible at all. You can also, of course, explore by yourself with a bit of consistency :)
    • Other variables (PIC_OFF, HIDE_PIN, TIMEOUT) speak by themselves
  • Here are commands to access given features, the ones you can map to RC keys if you need any. Otherwise you can try from terminal:
    • Tools Menu

      CODE: 

      app_launcher org.tizen.menu type tools
    • Sleep Timer shortcut

      CODE: 

      app_launcher org.tizen.menu menuitem sleeptimer-shortcut
    • Energy Saving shortcut

      CODE:

  • Script can be started/stopped/restarted at will without reboot, from terminal or webif
  • Script and lib are working together and can't be dissociated
  • Not tested at all on T-HKMFK, let's cross fingers :D

General • How to change Mac address on TV

I have the same "mac address not valid" on my TV when wired to my router. the 1600 (Samsung) blu-ray player next to it connects fine via the same cable and router input, so i know its not that. The UN55B8000 does connect via the wireless dongle, but i recently moved the router closer to take advantage of the direct connection. I have read elsewhere that the only resolve was to replace the main board, seeing that the Mac ID was never properly assigned to their TV's original board (showed MAC address as all F's). is there another way around this? I really don't want to have it serviced unless no other way is found. can the MAC address be "reset" somehow?

I have returned the TV and now have bought the exact same as sibren the UE43MU6179. :D
And I can confirm it works great on this model, so the UE40MU6120 does not work with this method!

In service menu i have not the bt option.
I have enable root.
Now i don’t know how to try the files of this thread. I didn’t find a wiki for noob.
I tried to insert the .so file into tmp folder with ftp but nothing change.
Simeone can help me?

Hi!

My old tv D7000, i try everything on it, root, widgets, oscam (without dvbapi) and now want to watch Netflix..

Until few days the tv was rooted with firmware 1015 i think, but no netflix app appear.

I decided to make a firmware update to 1033_2 , last one to receiver netflix app.

All ok after firmware update, neflix app appear but i can choose Romanian subtitles from the app, only English, Polish, Turkish and German.

On the PC with the same account, Netflix has Romanian subtitles on several series.

I try to change smart hub country area with 2-3 different zone, but same problem, same subtitles received.

I check in the service menu and i saw on option Local Set is EUR_TURKEY and can't be changed. (it;s grey)
I remember from the past, this option can be changed with Germany, Austria, Turkey or OTHER (no others country's to choose)

Can anybody tell me how can i proceed to change Local Set or to make a firmware downgrade ? i have T-GAPDEUC_1018.0 and T-GAPDEUC_1031.1 but from usb stick when i try Software update it's not working, No available updates..
