Really? If you not use wifi client, then not generate any wifi signal, this is not hotspot but only client and unconected client not make any signal :)

Is C series internet@TV still supported by samsung? I just guess, they discontinued support at serverside and when you try to login, tv is unable to "call home" to samsung server. Without proper response tv does not allow you to log in even to local account.

But i just guess. I donot know.l as i do not have access to C series. Posible you have to repeat procedure at different time, might you cought some temporal issue and next time you will succeed?

For "Skype replacement" root method, 2150.9 firm is working. Version 2240.3 not working for me. I have not tried intermediate versions.

Please report if you try some intermediate versions, 2150.9 firm is working but has some minor bugs related with, SmartHub, Bluetooth headsets, WiFi, DTS...

I tried to hack Samsung Tizen TV(UN65K8500****) but faced some adversity. so I want "specific" solution about that.

1. How to attach shell? I access the sdb from Tizen studio(sdb) but policy of Samsung block me. So I want to know how to bypass that policy.

2. I found the firmware upgrade file named "upgrade.msd". but it is encrypted so "./binwalk --all-option upgrade.msd" is not working. so I want to know how to decrypt "upgrade.msd"

3. Can I develop and upload the native app? As I know, the public account can develop only web app. so I want to know how to develop and upload native app.

4. What kind of API of Native app or TV web app can contol hardware device? or If API of Native app consists, Please let me know.

5. What is the difference of Tizen 2.* and Tizen 3.0? Is there any "one-day exploit file" or well known vulnerabilty?

so today I opened my old Blueray Player(BD-H9500) in order to find some hidden "ports" eg. serial - jtag, and to see what type of stuff it runs on.
It was very easy to open the case, just 3 generic screws, so I removed all those ribbon connectors inside (including that one on the top off course) and I found out that my player essentially consists out of 3 pieces(
  • a green smd where the proc sits on(heatsink)

    a brown colored pth, which I don't know exactly what it is for :roll:

    a smd wifi module(seperated)

    and a lot of air ;)
so on the pth board I found a strange number(1430) :?:

, is it a special pin code to enter a service menu (cause it's not a parental control pin,I tried it) or has anyone a idea what it's for?

Take pictures of your Service Menu settings?
(I know MY BAD- and should have taken pictures before hand)
I mucked with mine and have never been able to put them back. I messed with them trying to get the wifi working again after the firmware update.

ANY model of ES8000F series might sufice.. PLEASE PLEASE-

Taking clear pictures of each section shouldn't take long.
