Hi I'm new here. I've read a lot of the Wiki but I have few questions.
1. UE40J5100AWXBT is a J series TV? (I've seen that J series uses format different scm for channel but mine uses that).
2. It's a non smart TV, is there anyway to install software on it, connect it to the internet using WiFI dongle (no LAN port).
3. Is it rootable? Software version is 1040 (strange latest version on samsung website is 1037.3). What can I gain?
4. Something interesting I can enable in the service menu? For example enable extras.
5. Is there a RS232 port easily assessable
6. There is an feature called something like check for updates over broadcast information, how does that work? (No internet)
I'm OK with linux, RS/TTL procedures (been playing with phones and routers a lot).

You don't need to buy a new remote. If you have any smartfone with build IR you can use App SRC from playstore. Or you can use the samsung remote witch comes with your tv which works with IR if you have smart remote contol then you cant use it this one.

Ok.
On aerial I don't use favorites too, because there is not much to watch just few channels which I sort in my order. Time ago I tried to use favorites but it wasn't possible to sort them as I want it. And I live with this but on satelite there is much more channels for watch and I only want to change bit quickier from number key remote. The only way I see it will be editing hundreds of channels and changing name to start with number and sort them by name. Thanks again

Hi there,
I have a B650 Samsung with samyGo extensions.
I'm having a problem with the passthrough on the TV cuz the sound just sounds messy with echo and robotic sounds during the playback.
My system has a android BOX (i've tried 3 differnt ones) connected to the TV through HDMI, and then the TV connected to my homecinema through optical cable.
When i connect my box directly to the home cinema the sound is clear....
Can someone help me out here ?
