[H] Support • Gadget & Virtual USB stuck on 'Loading...' when I try to play video

if it helps I have watchdogs set to off in the service menu, and in the init.d directory I have renamed all scripts beginning with 99 to have .dis at the end. Other devices can play video from the Samba server fine.

The only issues that I can think of that occurred when rooting is that there was not network_type file in SamyGo dir before applying patch, I tried disconnecting and reconnecting from Wi-Fi and rebooting several times, never connected to LAN - sectroyer said in a post in this thread that this file does not matter though. Also when I tried to run sudo ./patch.sh in Ubuntu terminal output command not found, so I switched to Windows to use the bat file. Skype was also uninstalled several times, factory reset, service menu reset, smart hub reset, support >> diagnosis reset (no reset since non-skype root) when I attempted to re-root during Skype-method root BEFORE I tried this non-skype method.

Quick update. The Smart View package I worked with was the newest version. It turns out Samsung removed the remote control functionality from it so that is why I did not see any references. I dug through the net for a few days and found a link to the old version from 2014 that contained remote control functionality and decompiled that one.

I am working on a small console app to send remote control commands so i can use it to work with calls from my Z wave network via smart things. Whenever I have something substantial I will share it.

To my opinion Broacom doesnt support aptx in hardware, so there should be some softwarecodec on the tv set.Maybe theres another library path on the tv, where the former mentioned libbt-aptx.. file resides?????

Great work as always, I have one problem I want to use your guide which looks amazing, but my epg data is grabbed from my stb with vdr resful plugin and I don't have the extra data about rating category and so on. Is any way to use the epg from json file directly, without any categories and extra data only title and description? With other words to have only one file which is used for libepg and online TV guide Thanks

Is it possible to down grade a UN55C8000XFXZA TV firmware to attempt to install the samygo firmware?
The tv is currently running T-VALUUSC-1037.1 firmware, which is the most current :(

General • Enable AC3/DTS WIN-Samsung HDMI (Auto EDID hack)

Hello together,

recently I rooted my H6270 and enabled all stuff I need (including hdmiPassthrough that is needed if are interested in the threads topic). Finally i tried to get the fakeEdid app running without any success. Then I started the approach to hack the edid information on windows side (telling windows that the samsung is capable of playing AC3/DTS). Because I am really scared to change all that edid stuff manually and do something wrong, I luckily found this tool that I want to share with you!

Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

With that tool I just did the following steps and it worked:
  • Selected my samsung monitor
  • Imported the attached "hdmi-bitstream.dat"
  • Choose "Custom extension block" in the dropdown
  • Pressed Edit for the dropdown selection
  • Pressed "Add" for detailed resolution
  • Pressed "ok" to add the current resolution (1080p)
  • Pressed "Ok" to close the Custom extension block popup
  • Pressed "Save"
  • Run restart.exe
