Hello everybody,

Recently, I bought a new Samsung 48J5500 with Tizen. After two days I had to make a hard reset because Smart Hub would not start.

Unfortunately, something went wrong. When I power on, It keeps showing "Please go to service mode and setup below options: Type, Local Set, Front Color Option".

What happend ? Is it bad ? I also see I have new options suddenly, including 3D and Universal Remote options.

Can you please help me ? What can I do ?

It IS possible but ALWAYS the longer you wait with disabling OTN Support the longer you will have to wait for root. Simple as that :)

App simply decrypts all files passed in command line for example:

samyGOso -d -A -B -l /tmp/libDumpSPM.so LICENSE:/tmp/widget.license /tmp/test1.js.spm /tmp/test2.js.spm

If you want to decrypt more files better put them on usb and do like this:

after that simply run this bash line:

Ok, gonna give it a try and get back to you.

Just though somebody had already compared an app downloaded on an f- and h-series to see if they are indeed identical. Would be nice to know...

Still, just being able to use the SmartHub Widget Manager to push apps to the tv (instead of having to go the root/ftp route) would be some much easier.

Has anyone ever looked into this security check? Is it a server side issue or some kind of watchdog running locally?

So is this possible, in any way? I tried hex editing the firmware, but simply upping version number did nothing.

Is there another way to feed the file that will work?

It's also worth to mention that NO TV with with ANY firmware is or ever will be rootable if it has OTN Support set to ON :)

As many of you know, you can switch the SmartHub region to get access to different local apps.

I noticed that in the list of available countries there is an entry called "( Full Apps )". But switching to this entry only deleted all apps from the device. The app store is also completely empty.

Is there a way to display all the available apps across all possible regions? Has anyone gotten the "Full Apps" setting to work?

No. You get a security warning when a app you are trying to install is using private api's (that only Samsung partners have access to).
