Hi there, thanks for taking your time to read my post. My situation here is that I have a stack of old vhs tapes i would like to save the video of. I was thinking to use my TV: UE32ES5505 with software version T-MST10DEUC-1029.0 to do so, but then i need an option of decoding the video afterwards so when the TV is no more, i can still watch the videos. I have access to Linux Mint, Ubuntu, Windows 7 and Windows 10. The recordings would be made onto either usb stick or external harddrive. What can I do? I have tried to search around, and i realize that it is possible to root my TV, but it seems like a big step to take, so if i can decode the video locally on my computer i would prefer it. I am not sure why i am not able to find the answer myself. I have found this topic (viewtopic.php?f=52&t=12322), which seems to ask the same as me more or less, but the answer does not bring me any further.

Hey Guys,
long time no see...

Maybe its a bit of of dumb question but I wanna be save.

Sometime it happens that exeDSP chrashes and TV is not responding anymore on RC input.
TV is still reachable via FTP/SSH. With command "top" its easy to fine out that exeDSP chrashes and is not running anymore...

Question is if its save to resart exeDSP at this point with (without rebooting the TV completely):
sh /mtd_exe/rc.local

or even only with
./mtd_exe/exeDSP

I guess that then all the pached exeDSP stuff is away and many needed to start-over the samygo start process?!
sh /mnt/rcSGO or sh /mtd_rwcommon/widgets/user/SamyGO/data/run.sh ?

up to now I did not try anything of that... Still a bit afraid to freeze or brick my TV... Even if its kind of unlogical...

The same problem with F7000. TV hangs up after executing libAmbiLihgt.

I went in the service menu, I shouldnt have. I accidentally changed the type code. I can't it find anywhere. It's a samsung un55es7100 3D tv.

Hello,

I have bought a used Samsung 55 HU 7590 SL with firmware 1301. I didn´t get it to downgrade my TV with firmware T-NT14UDEUC 0000, because I can´t find it. I used T-GFP8DEUC 0000, but it doesn´t recognize the version.
Is there a chance to downgrade?

Hi all,
I had a UE40JU6400KXZT and PVR appears as not available when I press the record button, I suppose that using this mechanism will enable it.
My firmware version is 1530, do you think this procedure will work?
Which region I have to set?
There is any way to enable the extended menu without a mobile phone with IR?

According to this post rtmpgw can be used for play RTSP stream from DVR or IP camera.

I'm try get it with url which played in VLC:

but in OnlineTV show connection failed.

Any way to see logs for check whats wrong here?

Please refer yiurself to B series topicks on this forum. You can enter service menu and destroy tv. It is up to you ;)

But you do not get dvbt2 support as this feature is hardware dependent, it does not exist on your TV.

things to do before updating ie more like downgrading via USB?

I entered Service Menu as I wanted to take a look at the OTN automatic update whether it was off or on? was this the wrong idea?
I have not touched any settings currently. A couple of questions
Does, entering Service Menu [but not messing with anything] and then exiting, & powering on Samsung tv normally, automatically reset User Menu settings every single time?
2nd question is, im still in service menu, should I do anything specific when exiting Service Menu to ensure nothing gets messed up? ie. the correct precedure to exit service menu and return to general viewing?
