Recently i got as present Samsung B8000. Picture was good. Then I was fool and updated firmware to last one ( T-CHU7DEUC-3002.1 date 21.04.2010). Also I changed some settings from secret menu because i wanted to turn off local dimming. Now picture is realy ugly, dark, i cant watch my sd channels because it is too dark and colours are strange (even in dymamic mod with backlight 10). Does somebody have default service menu settings? Please help me and tell me what i can do to return back good picture. Thank you so much

e.g. KS has HDR on all ports and true 10bit panel, and your low-end KU has HDR on 1 port on 8bit dithered panel.
You just get worth your money, and you shouldn't ignore specs when buying a TV (or anything else).

Hello, sorry for my English, some time ago I "played" in the root of my Samsung TV (H series). Root succeeded, "oscam" no longer. I gave up, I bought an external STB, I'm happy with it.
I would like to return to the "factory state" - unroot - To regain access to SamsungStore and app.

Is not brick my TV doing regular update (OTA)?

Only MU9000 (doubt on MU8000) and Q have 10bit ones (in M/Q series).

here's the partition scheme for a working intenal hdd. Got it by trial and error. the actual sizes can be modified to your needs, all that matters is the partition layout and correct filesystem. recommended tool is gparted on linux but you might as well use some partition utility on win as long as it supports ext3 and xfs.

Hi, I needed some HHD for backup, so I decided to use 1TB drive from my BD H8900. One would think, that the device can recreate the partitions itself

. So I was really surprised when I found out, that this is not that case

So thanks to your wizard skills I was able to recreate partitions and BD is again up and running. It’s still helpful in 2018.

Asking by PM changes nothing to "no way"...

I have this TV-monitor and I was trying to make it able to use a USB Wifi dongle.
Using my special remote control and sending Factory+3Speed I get the extended Service Menu. There I can change the option "Network" from "None" to "Ext Wifi", but whenever I turn off the TV this option reverts back to "None".
Does anybody know how to do this permanent?
