First of all, this is my first post here and I would like to thank the administrators effort for bringing this forum up and helping us understand more and more about our TVs, again, thank you.
Last week I've been facing a really strange behavior from my UN32F4300 the IR receptor isn't recognizing any commands from the remote controller (I have other Samsung TVs compatible with this controller and the controller is absolutely fine).
So, no remote controller buttons working, nothing, only the buttons from the back of the TV were working.
There I go, searched the Internet and found out that I could try inserting a phone in the headphone slot and it would restart the IR, after several attempts it worked, for a while, it started working again but only when I was very close to the TV and aiming to the receptor, with this minimal workaround I managed to enter the Service Menu and hard reset.
I did the hard reset from the service menu, and the remote controller was working perfectly fine, even from long distances, I was happy for a while.
Messing around, using the remote to navigate through the menus to effectively test it, after 10mins,the remote all of a sudden stopped working again (I didn't change anything anymore).
From my perspective, it seems more some sort of software problem than hardware itself, tight?
What can I do about it?
I just had the chance to make it work again by insisting in the plug-in/out the headphones, went to the Service Menu again and I was navigating through the service menu options to see if I could find anything related to IR configuration, and without doing anything, nor even selecting anything in the service menu, it started working perfectly again.
What possibly caused this issue: for days there was a wireless headphone plugged in the RCA slots so I could listen to it from distance (I don't know if that's the main reason, but I found out that headphone problems could affect the IR)
Another thing, the wifi remote apps work perfectly fine with the TV, just the remote that randomly causes this.
Has someone here ever faced this situation or something like this? Can you please share your thoughts?
Thanks a lot
